In addition to his association with Monarch Financial, Mr. Santini is managing director of Santini and Associates, based in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Santini has more than 25 years experience in industrial minerals. His particular expertise is in exploration programs, reserve estimates/audits, property appraisals/valuations, due diligence, and market studies. Mr. Santini has also been involved in numerous acquisition and divestiture assignments.
In 1971, Mr. Santini joined California Portland Cement Company as Project Geologist. His main responsibility was the exploration and evaluation of cement raw materials. A number of deposits, either discovered by Mr. Santini or jointly with other individuals, were placed into production. In addition, Mr. Santini was also Mine Superintendent at a major open-pit limestone operation in Arizona.
Subsequently in 1978, Mr. Santini became Senior Geologist for Anaconda Minerals Company in Denver, Colorado. He supervised the domestic and international exploration and acquisition programs for industrial minerals. A number of industrial mineral properties were discovered and/or acquired under Mr. Santini's direction.
In 1985, Mr. Santini became an independent industrial minerals consultant, where he planned, implemented and conducted exploration and acquisition programs on a worldwide basis. Subsequently in 1989, Mr. Santini joined DUNN Geoscience Corporation as Vice President of Mining and Minerals. He had oversight and management of the Division, review of all projects and development of domestic and international markets for the Division. While at DUNN, Mr. Santini was one of the first U.S. geologists to evaluate industrial mineral deposits in the former Soviet Union.
After two years with DUNN, Mr. Santini founded Santini and Associates, which is a full service international industrial minerals consulting group. Clients have included industrial minerals companies, banks and governmental agencies. An example of his firm's various assignments are as follows:
- Valuation and due diligence of a borate deposit located in southern California.
- Valuation and reserve audit of four industrial silica sand operations located in the mid-western United States.
- Prefeasibility study of a wollastonite deposit located in Kazakhstan, C.I.S.
- Valuation and due diligence of aggregate operations located in the western and mid-western United States as part of an asset exchange.
- Market study of ground calcium carbonate and kaolin in North America.
- Borate market study and technical due diligence of deposits located in Mexico, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina and Peru.
- Due diligence of trona/soda ash operations located in Wyoming.
- Advised provincial government in Argentina on the development of their industrial minerals.
Mr. Santini completed B.S. studies in geology at the University of Redlands, and conducted his M.S. work in geology at Los Angeles State University and the University of Arizona.
