Mine Financing Mine Financing
Prior to his association with Monarch Financial, Mr. Lotzof was engaged as a consultant to Price Waterhouses' Mining Services Industry Practice Group beginning in July 1994, where he provided specialized financial advisory services to the mining sector. His specialty is mining finance, mergers and acquisitions and financial risk management in the mining and precious metals industry.

Mr. Lotzof was employed by Macquarie Bank Limited, Australia's premier investment banking firm, for 12 years. Macquarie Bank was hailed by Euromoney Magazine as "the best bank in Australia and being the most dynamic and innovative." The bank's corporate finance group was ranked third in the entire Asia Pacific region and eighth in the world for total number of project finance deals undertaken. As President of Macquarie Metals, Inc. his responsibilities included the establishment and management of Macquarie Bank's mining finance and hedging services in North America to both major and middle market companies.

While in Australia, Mr. Lotzof was directly responsible for the project finance activities for the Bullion & Commodity Division of Macquarie Bank in which he acted as lead negotiator, structurer, and facilitator. He established a wide range of finance structures including, commodity loans, multi currency cash loans, lease facilities and the use of derivatives as a form of project finance. Mr. Lotzof also interfaced actively with other Divisions within Macquarie Bank including the Corporate Advisory Division on mergers and acquisitions and Macquarie Equities, for share placements equity options and underwriting.

Mr. Lotzof also has experience and was responsible for the development of Commodity Trading and management systems and developed object oriented computer systems enabling analysis of financial instruments for control and reporting purposes. He also established credit and prudent controls to cover bullion-dealing activities.

Mr. Lotzof commenced his career as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand in 1979. In 1982, he joined Hill Samuel as a trust officer providing fund management currency trading and tax haven services.

Roy is the author of numerous professional mining speeches and is a graduate of the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics Honors in accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA"). Mr. Lotzof is currently on an extended special assignment in the Far East.
